o How do I apply minerals?
For best results, we recommend applying our mineral powders to clean, moisturised skin. Allow moisturiser to be fully absorbed before applying our powders. For foundation, sprinkle a small amount into your pot lid, then dip and swirl your application brush into the minerals, tap off the excess and apply in a gentle circular buffing motion. We include a leaflet of application tips with your order but you really can't go wrong with applying minerals.
o Are Honeypie Minerals the same as other mineral products?
No. We pride ourselves in having some great unique selling points. Most other brands contain talc, rice or corn starch which can lead to breakouts and problematic skin. Many other larger brands also use harsh chemicals and irritants such as Bismuth, which can contribute to acne, spots, blocked pores, and overall bad complexions. Our three main base ingredients are all natural and healthy for the skin (Mica, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide). Honeypie powder products are silky to the touch, with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties... To see our other great benefits please click here >
o How will mineral make-up perform on oily, sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Mineral makeup is suitable for all skin types. It is ideal for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin, as it doesn’t contain harsh chemicals. Our products also include key ingredient Zinc Oxide, which has healing and anti-bacterial properties. Minerals are particularly good for acne-prone skin as they allow your pores to breath. You will be a complete convert once you have tried them!
o What is coverage like compared to liquid foundation?
Mineral foundation powders offer great coverage. Our powders feel lovely and light on the skin and allow your pores to breath naturally (unlike other mass-produced high-street brands that contain horrible gloopy fillers, chemicals, preservatives and parabens). Honeypie give you a fantastic alternative; they buff on beautifully to give the look of flawlessly natural skin whilst still protecting you from the day-to-day elements.
o How do I know which shade to buy?
We offer 15 shades of our foundations with a shade chart to help you select the right shade before you choose the full size. The shade chart tells you which foundation is perfect for you, whether you have Light, Medium, Tan, Dark or Deep skintone, and a cool, neutral or warm undertone. o Do I need a special brush to apply minerals?
Kabuki brushes are specially made for applying mineral cosmetics so these are the best way
to apply your mineral foundation. Bronzer brushes and shorter bristled brushes also allow
you to achieve great results. We choose the cruelty-free synthetic taklon bristle brushes by
EcoTools, as we do not support or endorse the production of animal hair brushes. EcoTools

o How do I wash my EcoTools brushes?
Brushes should be washed frequently for best results. Hold the bristles pointing downwards in warm running water, gently lather with a mild shampoo or gentle anti-bacterial soap and rinse again in running water until it runs clear. Always leave make-up brushes to dry naturally on their side in order to prevent water effecting the base of the bristles.
o Can I sleep in Honeypie Minerals products?
No. Whilst some large brands boldly claim their minerals are pure enough to sleep in, we would not recommend this or make the same claim to our customers. Minerals are a natural alternative make-up which are healthier for the skin, however like any make-up product it should be removed at the end of your day before going to sleep with cleansed and moisturised skin. A good skincare regime is essential for beautiful, radiant skin.
o Are Honeypie Minerals environmentally-friendly and cruelty-free?
We do NOT test on animals. All our products are cruelty-free and do not contain any animal derived ingredients. Honeypie Minerals are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Our minerals are also natural products containing no harsh synthetic chemicals, which is better for the environment. We stock the beautiful cruelty-free EcoTools brush range which are made from high-quality, synthetic taklon bristles, with sustainable bamboo handles and recycled aluminium ferrules.
